Phyllis Day

Pasco/Hernando Community News Coordinator

Want to get your news into the Pasco Times or Hernando Times sections of the paper? I'm the one to contact. I’ve been writing for the Tampa Bay Times in various capacities since 1995. Currently, I handle all upcoming events and happenings in Hernando and Pasco counties, putting together the Hometown pages, Business Digests and Things-to-Do, as well as brief news items, for both regional sections. I was born and raised on Long Island and moved to Florida after graduating with a journalism degree from SUNY-New Paltz in upstate New York. I have been living in the Spring Lake area for more than 20 years, where my husband and I are happy to be raising our family.
