Night Editor

I was raised on Florida’s Best Newspaper and dreamed of writing for it. I got my shot while at the University of South Florida, covering high school football and the weekend crime beat. I went on to cover the police, courts, business and sports beats. Now I’m an Assistant Metro Editor. I’m all about breaking news and deadline writing. Before I ended up behind an editor’s desk, I covered executions, hurricanes, wildfires, space shuttle launches and lots of football games. I have the honor of filing the last byline in the 113-year history of the St. Petersburg Times on Dec. 31, 2011, minutes before it became the Tampa Bay Times. Comic books get me through the pain of football season. Recently, I decided Superman > Batman.
