‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star Ronny Chieng to bring stand-up act to Tampa

Fresh from his starring role in the blockbuster movie Crazy Rich Asians, Ronny Chieng, the satirist, stand-up comedian and correspondent for The Daily Show is coming to Tampa in February, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts announced.

Born in Malaysia and raised in New Hampshire and Singapore, Chieng is the co-creator and star of the sitcom Ronny Chieng: International Student based on his own experiences, airing this year on Comedy Central.

Chieng was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch in 2016.

He will bring his stand-up act to Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center on Feb 23. Tickets are $18.50-$29.50 and they go on sale Friday at noon online at strazcenter.org, at the box office, 1010 N MacInnes Place, or by calling (813) 229-7827.
