DEVELOPING: The Rays added some speed to their roster in calling up outfielder Johnny Davis, but are still missing several key pieces due to injury as Kevin Kiermaier is not in the lineup again today due to a neck strain and neither is Avisail Garcia, who left Tuesday’s game with a glute strain.

The Rays do have Tommy Pham, who has been dealing with a sore elbow/forearm back, but he is limited to DH duties again.

The Rays are using Andrew Kittredge as the opener, with righty Austin Pruitt expected to work the bulk of the innings. But the Raysa also have lefty Jalen Beeks available.

Davis got as high as Double-A with the Brewers, but spent the last two seasons in the Mexican League, from which the Rays signed him on Aug. 29.

They had room to add Davis, 29, to the 40-man roster because reliever Hoby Milner was placed on the 60-day injured list with a cervical neck injury.

Here is the Rays lineup:

Wendle 2b

Pham dh

Meadows lf

d’Arnaud c

Choi 1b

Duffy 3b

Wong rf

Heredia cf

Adames ss

Kittredge p
