The XFL 2020 season will kick off one week after Super Bowl LIV, but Tampa Bay will have to wait a bit longer to get its first live look at Aaron Murray, Quinton Flowers and the rest of coach Marc Trestman’s Vipers squad.

The spring professional football league unveiled its schedule Tuesday and announced that the Vipers will begin their inaugural campaign on the road. They travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Guardians in Week 1 and to CenturyLink Field to take on the Seattle Dragons in Week 2. They won’t play their home opener until Week 3, when they host the Houston Roughnecks on Feb. 22 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Here is the Vipers’ complete 10-game schedule, including start times and television information (all home games will be at Raymond James Stadium):

Week 1 (Sunday, Feb. 9): at New York Guardians, 2 p.m., FOX

Week 2 (Saturday, Feb. 15): at Seattle Dragons, 5 p.m., FOX

Week 3 (Saturday, Feb. 22): vs. Houston Roughnecks, 2 p.m., ABC

Week 4 (Sunday, March 1): vs. DC Defenders, 7 p.m., ESPN2

Week 5 (Sunday, March 8): at Los Angeles Wildcats, 9 p.m., ESPN

Week 6 (Saturday, March 14): vs. St. Louis BattleHawks, 5 p.m., FS2

Week 7 (Saturday, March 21): vs. Dallas Renegades, 2 p.m., ABC

Week 9 (Sunday, April 5): at St. Louis BattleHawks, 12 p.m., ESPN

Week 10 (Sunday, April 12): vs. New York Guardians, 3 p.m. or 6 p.m., ABC or FS1

“Our players and coaches can’t wait to build a winning team that represents the best of Tampa Bay — and our fans — on and off the field,” Vipers team president Josh Bullock said.

The XFL will be split into a four-team East division and a four-team West division. Each team will play a regular-season schedule consisting of six intradivision games and four interdivision games. The Vipers are in the East division and will play home-and-home series against the DC Defenders, New York Guardians and St. Louis BattleHawks.

The playoffs begin April 18 and will be a two-round tournament. The semifinals will pit the division winners against the division runners-up. The semifinals winners will advance to the championship game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. April 26 and will be broadcast on ESPN. The location has not been announced.
