Al Lang as a new concert venue, Build-A-Bear backup, March For Our Lives: Photos for July 12th

Al Lang, where Mickey Mantle once roamed the outfield and Joe Cole now patrols the midfield, wasn’t built for outdoor concerts. Baseball parks, unlike football stadiums, are a mixed bag when it comes to live music. But a new summer concert season began last night at Al Lang stadium.

A Build A Bear promotion turns into stuffed animal chaos in stores in Tampa Bay and nationwide and shoppers overwhelm the malls looking for an amazing bargain for their kids.

The March For Our Lives bus tour is focused on Central Florida with three stops in Tampa Bay this week. Thursday in downtown St. Pete is their biggest event with a rally and voter registration drive.

15 students with the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg’s Good Samaritan Project that spent Thursday painting Jill Heisey’s Clearwater house that was damaged by Hurricane Irma last year. The students are part of 70 students giving up this week of Summer vacation to perform service projects in the Tampa Bay area with the Good Samaritan Project.
