In this video by Tailyr Irvine, Moya Badawi, 14, of Fort Pierce warms up her horse Spot for the 4H State Horse Show. Badawi has been competing for about a year in local shows and 4H. She competes in the Western Pleasure event. Badawi said she competes because it’s fun.

And after winning the first set, a state title looked very possible. Then the momentum, and Plant’s confidence, started to fade. The Raiders won the second set by two points and never looked back in a 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-19) win at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena. Plant (27-2) was trying to win its 11th state championship in school history. St. Thomas Aquinas (26-5) won its sixth state title.
