A Safety Harbor man was arrested and charged with DUI early Saturday after a wrong-way crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, Clearwater Police said.

Conner Hall, 19, was driving west in the eastbound lanes of the causeway shortly after 3 a.m. when his vehicle slammed head-on into another vehicle, police said. Two additional vehicles also were involved in the crash, they said.

Hall was taken to a local hospital for examination, then to Pinellas County Jail.

Another person involved in the crash also was treated for minor injuries.

Police said Hall admitted to officers at the scene that he had consumed multiple alcoholic beverages. He failed multiple field sobriety tests.
