Tampa's got a long-running love affair with Twenty One Pilots. It's about to get a little longer.
The wildly popular alt-pop duo emerged from a yearlong hiatus Wednesday to announce their fall Bandito Tour, which will stop at Amalie Arena on Nov. 3. Reserved seats start at $35.75, general admission floor is $75.75. They'll go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. July 20, but a presale is already going through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program; click here for details on that. If you want them, get them fast.
The Grammy-winning duo also dropped two new songs on Wednesday, the raging Jumpsuit and Nico and the Niners, which will appear on their new album, Trench, due Oct. 5.
The band rose from cult popularity to enormous arena-level headliners in the past two years thanks to a string of popular singles like Stressed Out, Heathens and Ride. Tampa Bay has gotten a good look at their rise over the years — they've gone from playing morning sets at local festivals to headlining Amalie Arena last year. This show is bound to sell out, and probably fast.
This is one of only two Twenty One Pilots shows in Florida this fall — the other is Nov. 4 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.
