Michelle Margaux leaving Rays TV broadcasts, heading to Houston

Michelle Margaux is leaving Fox Sports Sun after one season as the reporter on Rays broadcasts and heading Houston to cover the NBA Rockets as the in-game reporter for AT&T SportsNet.

Margaux will also have some hosting duties and work some Astros games as well.

"Leaving Fox Sports Sun and the Rays was an incredibly tough decision for me," Margaux said. "Being a part of the 2018, 90-win season with this group was extremely special, and there was never a dull moment. Rays fans were so welcoming and passionate, and that made my job easy. They have a lot to look forward to in the future."

Besides changing sports, Margaux, who previously worked on Padres broadcasts in San Diego, will be moving to a larger market.

"I'm thrilled to add another professional sport to my resume, especially a team of this caliber," she said.

Whoever replaces Margaux for 2019 will be the fifth reporter on Rays broadcasts over the last six seasons, following Kelly Nash, Emily Austen, Alex Corddry and Margaux. Todd Kalas filled the primary role until leaving to become the Astros play-by-play man last season.
