Father’s Day events for every Dad

FATHER'S DAY: TAKE DAD OUT
So maybe shopping isn't high on the list of things you'd think to do with Dad for Father's Day, but I'm not suggesting dragging him around the mall. There are quite a few cool events this weekend that Dad can enjoy, and you can pick up his gift along the way.

MUSIC DAD: DOLLAR HOLLAR SALE

If Dad loves music, take him to Planet Retro Records on Saturday for the Dollar Hollar Sale. They'll have 60 boxes full of records, all priced at $1, as well as dollar CDs, tapes, magazines and music-related ephemera. The inventory on sale is all new, not rejects from previous sales. Sounds like a great way to bond with the big guy.
11 a.m.-7 p.m. at 226 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N, St. Petersburg.

ART DAD: IMAGINE MUSEUM
Is Dad an art aficionado? Then bring him to the Imagine Museum, where on Sunday he'll receive free admission and special discounts in the museum's store. The museum is full of breathtaking examples of studio glass art, and the store is also full of handmade glass, so you can add to his art collection. Open from noon-5 p.m. at 1901 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. imaginemuseum.com.

TRADITIONAL DAD: FATHER'S DAY BBQ AND MARKET
For the traditionalist, there's the Father's Day BBQ and Market at 3 Daughters Brewing. In addition to the rubbed and pulled meat and craft brews, there's a market with vendors including Central Cigars. Noon-6 p.m. Sunday at 222 22nd St. S, St. Petersburg. 3dbrewing.com.

INDIE DAD: TAMPA INDIE FLEA
Does Dad love all things indie? Then you'll have no problem getting him to the Tampa Indie Flea at Armature Works on Sunday. He can shop, eat and drink from local businesses to his heart's content. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1910 N Ola Ave., Tampa. theindieflea.com.
