Glass art jewelry shines at Zen Glass and another round of markets

Art Jewelry: Pendant Palooza
I can tell you from my experience working in a gallery, people love art glass jewelry, particularly pendants. They make great gifts. Find a plethora at Zen Glass Studio's Pendant Palooza on Saturday. They're showcasing jewelry from more than 50 cutting-edge artists from around the globe, including highly collectable pendants. You will find a huge variety of styles, though I'm especially fond of ones that look like miniature encapsulated universes, like the one pictured. Live glassblowing demonstrations happen throughout the evening, and a silent auction will benefit active military, veterans and first responders with free glassblowing classes. 5-10 p.m. 600 27th St. S., St. Petersburg. Winter Village Shops: Local vendors are using PODS to sell their goods at Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park. Personal care company Organic Beard Supply turned theirs into a living room, above, to make shoppers feel at home. There's also ice skating and a cafe. wintervillagetampa.com.

Maven Market Channelside: In addition to artisan vendors, the pop-up at Maven Designs features photo booths, a raffle, live music by the Infinite Eights. Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.

DTSP Night Market: A curated selection of local artists and makers under a night sky happens 6-10 p.m. today at Plaza Tower and Courtyard Shops, 111 Second Ave. NE, St. Petersburg.
