Jingle down Central Avenue and take your pick of markets this weekend

ALL THE WAY: JINGLE DOWN CENTRAL
Downtown St. Petersburg is a great place to shop, and a few of the galleries and boutiques have come together to create a shop hop on Sunday. Jingle Down Central is fairly walkable (unless you have a load of bags, then you may want to drive for part of it), all on Central Avenue, starting at Fifth Street and ending at 11th. Find artist-made wreaths like the one by Aida Sheets, pictured, at Florida CraftArt; get the perfect offbeat gift at Zazoo'd; shop for stuff for happy people at Stands of Sunshine; get up on the latest fashion trends at Ashe Couture, Misred and Plain Jane; and indulge in the beautiful soaps at Milagros. Visit all seven stores for a chance to win a gift basket; spend $25 at each and get a holiday candle. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

WHAT'S THIS?: NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
The movie The Nightmare Before Christmas is like the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for those who wish every day was Halloween. Tim Burton's 1993 film is a cult classic, and continues to be beloved, even by children today. It also continues to inspire, hence the Nightmare Before Christmas Art Exhibition and Bazaar on Saturday at the Stained Market Place in Ybor City. All of the art is themed around the film, and who knows what kind of treasures you'll dig up in the bazaar? Go find out from noon to 6 p.m. at 2106 E 15th Ave. (813) 501-3238.
