STORRS, Conn. — USF was looking to build its resume, and perhaps improve its seeding, for the NCAA Tournament.
The Bulls only proved they still aren't in UConn's class.
Gabby Williams had 18 points and nine assists on her senior night, and the top-ranked Huskies completed their 10th undefeated regular season with an 82-53 win over No. 20 USF.
Kitija Laksa scored all but two of her 14 in the second half for the Bulls (24-6, 13-3 AAC), who lost for the first time in 10 games. They had won 12 of 13 since being blown out by UConn last month in Tampa.
Azura Stevens led all scorers with 21 points and Katie Lou Samuelson had 14 for the Huskies (29-0, 16-0), who are now 98-0 in games against AAC opponents. They are 86-0 in the regular season and have won all four conference tournaments.
Connecticut used a 13-0 run to break open a 10-8 game. It was 29-12 after 10 minutes.
A 12-0 run in the second quarter put the game away. Williams had 16 points before halftime and the Huskies led 50-26 at the break.
Laksa, who came in averaging 21 points, made just 5 of 19 shots and was 0-for-5 in the first half. She failed to score in the teams' first meeting this season, a 100-49 loss.
