HAPPENINGS: ST. PETE SIDE LOT
The St. Pete Side Lot will be a hotbed of activity, stepping into the growing trend of mobile businesses in vintage vehicles. At the Vintage Round Up, shop from Airstream mobile boutiques Feathers, Fate and Steel and Ashe Couture. Pick fresh flowers from a truck, imbibe from an Airstream bar and get scoops of ice cream handed out from an antique truck. Free. 5-10 p.m. Thursday.
And find something inspiring at the Side Lot’s Guerilla Art Market on Saturday. Local artists have works for sale and will be giving demos. A cash bar will help loosen up your wallet and there’s live music postmarket until 11 p.m. Free. 5-9 p.m. 2133 Second Ave. S. sidelotstpete.com.
DATE NIGHT: SANGRIAFEST
The artists at Charlie Parker Pottery have been busy making sangria pitcher sets and other drinking vessels. That leads us to Sangriafest. Buy a mug, cup, tumbler or one of Parker’s pitcher sets (pictured) and servers will fill your cup with fruity sangria. The studio is filled with handmade art to view while enjoying the jazzy sounds of the Stretch Bruyn Quartet. Pasta Monsta food truck will be on site, because you shouldn’t drink on an empty stomach. Finish it all off with homemade gelato from Studio Gelato for a date night win. Free. 5-9 p.m. Saturday. 2724 Sixth Ave. S, St. Petersburg. charlieparkerpottery.com.
