CellarMasters Wine Bar & Bottle Shop will soon occupy 2,190 square feet in the EDGE District of St. Petersburg. Expect affordable bottles for sale on the retail side of 1005 First Ave. N and by-the-glass pours of wine and beer on the other.

In addition to small-production wines ranging from traditional to natural, owner and wine industry veteran Ryan Rugg, who has teamed up with sommelier and partner Kory Lynn to open CellarMasters, will feature appetizers, small plates and outdoor seating.

“In just a few years we have noticed the wine culture and curiosity in the Tampa Bay area explode while working as wholesalers," Rugg said in a news release from Bridgewater Commercial Real Estate, which secured the EDGE District lease. “We want to take pretension out of the equation and offer education of awesome wines from small producers or lesser known grapes/regions to our people.”

CellarMasters aims to debut this fall, before Thanksgiving.
